Why does it look so different from other firepits?

Because it actually works. Traditional firepits trap heat inside metal walls and only push heat upward. We turned it inside-out so the heat radiates directly to you. The glowing tube and dancing flames are the result of better engineering, not just aesthetics. Once you feel the warmth, you'll understand why we designed it this way.

How is this different from a 'smokeless' wood firepit?

Accepted Answer

Smokeless wood firepits are less smoky, not smoke-free. There's still a fire to build, wood to source, ash to clean, and smell in your clothes. Propane burns completely clean. Zero smoke, zero smell, zero cleanup. The fire actually happens because there's nothing in the way.

It's only 7 lbs, is it sturdy enough?

The weight comes from the design, not cheap materials. 304 Stainless Steel is the same grade used in marine environments so it doesn't rust, doesn't dent, and handles outdoor conditions for decades. The folding legs lock solid. Light doesn't mean flimsy.

How warm does it actually get? Can I really feel the heat?

This is the main complaint we hear about competitors: "looks cool but doesn't heat." Our inside-out design solves this. You'll feel radiant heat from 4+ feet away. The tube glows red-hot. This is an actually hot firepit.

How long does a propane tank last?

Accepted Answer

On a standard 20lb tank: approximately 9 hours at full power, or around 13 hours at half power.

Is it safe to use on a wood deck?

Accepted Answer

Yep, that's where many of our families use it. The feet and ground stay cool, because the heat radiates outward toward people, not downward toward your deck. Just don't knock it over while it's lit. Same rule as any open flame — basic campfire common sense applies.

If the campaign doesn't reach its goal, Kickstarter doesn't charge backers — and your $1 reservation is refunded in full. Either way, you're not out anything.
